Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to the old and classical boleros as well traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana loves the operas and tangos. Additionally, she enjoys dramatic performances. Her mother taught her to sing, but she began singing by Flavio Belcerra in the age of 16 when he was a renowned Mexican opera Tenor. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she performed with several chamber groups and opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects, both as an instructor and performer because she is passionate about music and arts. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a love, in particular in the younger generations to keep this tradition in the present.
